Service areas
Where we work
Based in Pinetop-Lakeside and working about forty miles out, across Navajo County and the western side of Apache County.
Navajo County
Navajo County runs a long way north to south, from the rim country and the timber down through the Silver Creek valley and out onto the plateau. Apex is based in Pinetop-Lakeside, near the southern end of it, and works the mountain half.
The electrical picture changes with elevation here. Up in the timber it is cabins and seasonal builds converted to full-time use. Down in the valley it is farm service and older town housing. Both need different things from an electrician.
Every town we cover in Navajo County
- AripineRanch country. Pumps, stock tanks and outbuildings on circuits that run a long way.
- Black River CrossingThe far edge of what we cover, down toward the Black River canyon.
- BurtonRural lots north of Show Low, usually one meter feeding a house and a shop.
- Canyon DayTribal housing south of Whiteriver, mostly panel and circuit work on established homes.
- CarrizoRemote enough that we bring parts for the likely repair and the one after it.
- Cedar CreekHomes along the creek drainage, often with a long overhead run to the meter.
- Clay SpringsAn old settlement with service entrances that have been patched more than once.
- East ForkAlong the East Fork of the White River, where storms take lines down more than once a year.
- Fort ApacheHistoric community on tribal land; work is scheduled with the housing authority.
- Fort Apache JunctionThe junction settlement, where service calls get grouped with others out that way.
- GrasshopperFar south end of our range, reached on a day we are already headed that direction.
- Green SpotSmall and remote. Generator and backup work matters more here than anywhere.
- Hawley LakeHighest lake in the state. Summer cabins that get opened up and shut down each year.
- HeadquartersThe old ranger station area, with a mix of government-era and newer wiring.
- HeberThe Heber side of the Heber-Overgaard pair, heavy on cabins closed up for the winter.
- Heber-OvergaardHeavy second-home territory. Freeze-season calls on places that sat empty since fall.
- Indian PineCabins tucked in the timber above Pinetop, where access matters as much as the wiring.
- Kinney JunctionA crossroads with a few homes; calls here usually pair with another stop nearby.
- Lake of the WoodsA gated lake community of cabins, most of them weekend places for eleven months of the year.
- LakesideOlder lakefront cabins where the original wiring was never meant for today's load.
- LindenBetween Show Low and Pinetop. Remodel wiring and additions on established lots.
- NorthwoodsA cabin subdivision in the pines, most of it built to the code of its own decade.
- OvergaardPonderosa country. Fixture and circuit work in cabins built across four decades.
- PinedalePines and dirt roads. Older cabins with wiring added a room at a time over the years.
- PinetopThe cabin core. Small jobs, one outlet or one switch, are most of what we do here.
- Pinetop-LakesideHome ground. Cabin rewires, fixture work at cathedral-ceiling height, and same-week calls.
- Schoens CrossingA handful of properties where the nearest transformer can be a long way from the house.
- SevenmileReservation-edge housing where we coordinate access before scheduling.
- Show LowOur second base. Panel work and service upgrades on the newer builds off Deuce of Clubs.
- ShumwaySmall farm parcels along the Silver Creek bottom, where outbuildings need their own circuits.
- SnowflakeLonger runs out to property on acreage, where the well pump and the house share one panel.
- TaylorOlder service entrances that predate the current code, and the corrections that go with them.
- Wagon WheelA scatter of homes off the highway, far enough out that a service call is a planned trip.
- White Mountain LakeSeasonal places that need a look before the family arrives and after they leave.
- WoodruffDown in the low desert end of the county, where summer load looks nothing like Pinetop.
- ZeniffA few farms off the Snowflake road; work here is usually a planned upgrade, not a callout.
Apache County
Apache County is the eastern edge of the White Mountains, higher and more open than the timber towns and running out toward St. Johns and the high desert. We work the western portion of it, inside the radius from Pinetop-Lakeside.
Properties here are further apart and more self-sufficient. Wells, outbuildings, and backup power come up far more often than they do closer in, and long feeders are the normal condition rather than the exception.
Every town we cover in Apache County
- ConchoWide-open lots on the Apache County side, often with a long feed from the meter to the house.
- El TuleScattered rural property; long feeds and voltage drop are the usual conversation.
- GreerHighest elevation we cover. Generator and backup work for a road that closes in weather.
- Greer PlaceApache County side near Greer, with the same elevation and the same weather problems.
- HuntRanch parcels in the open country south of St. Johns.
- RichvilleA small Apache County community where most jobs are upgrades to older service.
- SaladoOut past Concho, where we combine a visit with other Apache County stops.
